Senior Pastor - John Rhodes


Bro. John came to MO from West Tennessee.  Prior to Huntsville First, he served as pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church in Jackson, MO for twelve and a half years.  Before that he pastored Cottonwood Grove Baptist Church in Ridgely, TN, and New Concord Baptist Church in Kenton, TN.  He attended Mid-Continent Baptist Bible College in Mayfield, KY.

Bro. John has served in many forms of ministry in the past including traveling with the singing group, The Joylanders from Trenton, TN, MO Baptist Disaster Relief,  and as Chaplain / Firefighter /and First Responder for Fruitland Fire and Rescue in Cape Girardeau County, MO.  His passion is sharing the gospel by ministering to people.

He is still involved in MO Baptist Disaster Relief, and presently serves as Chaplain/Safety Officer/Firefighter for the Westran Fire Protection District, and serves as a medical first responder for the Randolph County Ambulance District. He also handles the benevolent request for the Huntsville Ministerial Alliance.
Bro John and his wife Gayle have three children, Chris, Kayla, and Ashley.  Chris and his wife Katie have two daughters, Addison and Bayleigh, Kayla and her husband Nathan White are the parents of one little girl, Nora Joelle. And the youngest Ashley and her husband Devin have one daughter, Emma Grace, and are expecting another child in January of 2018. 

Bro. John has served as senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Huntsville, MO since January 2013.  He loves ministering to the church and the community.

Minister of Youth - Michael Hunt

Michael Hunt, 1994 graduate of Westran High School, began serving FBC Huntsville as bi-vocational youth minister on November 2016. Michael has had a passion for youth for many years and surrendered to God’s call on his life to lead the youth in the summer of 2013.  He then began working at North Park Baptist in Moberly where he worked with the senior pastor and youth minister to gain more experience. In 2014 he was called to FBC Centralia to serve as their interim youth minister, once that ministry ended he returned to NPBC to continue his youth ministry development until being called to FBC Huntsville.
